Tomàs Sala Robinat

Multimedia Crafter

About me

Hi, I’m Tomàs Sala Robinat, I’m a multimedia creator and motion graphics artist with a passion for building experiences, whether they’re animated, interactive, or playable. I’ve spent the last 10 years as a freelance working on all kinds of projects with very different clients, and I love it for one reason: no two projects feel the same.

But if there’s one thread connecting everything I do, it’s this:

The magic lies in the process.
Exploring, iterating, crafting, and discovering the solution step by step.

I’m based in Lleida (Ponent), Spain, and I collaborate both locally and remotely.

What I do

Motion & Postproduction

My core craft lives in motion graphics and postproduction: shaping rhythm, clarity, and emotion through visuals. I’m comfortable moving between styles and formats, because I enjoy adapting the language of each project to its purpose.

Teaching

For the last 5 years, I’ve also been a professor in a Higher Education program focused on 3D Animation, Games, and Interactive Environments. Teaching isn’t a side thing for me, it’s the part that feels most aligned with who I am. I love turning complex ideas into something students can understand, test, and build upon.

Game Dev & Interactive

Recently, I released my first videogame as a SoloDev on Steam. It was a personal challenge: not just to “make a game”, but to learn the full pipeline: design, production, polishing, and publishing. That experience makes me a better creator and (honestly) a much better teacher.

DIY / Crafting mindset

Outside the screen, I’m deeply into crafting and DIY. That “hands-on” mentality shapes how I work digitally too: I like to build things, test them, refine them, and understand how they’re made, rather than just chasing a final result.

Community: Òrbita25

I also co-founded Òrbita25, a non-profit association in Lleida for digital artists and videogame developers. It exists because I believe creative ecosystems matter, especially outside big cities, and because it brings together the worlds I care about most: digital art, interactive media, and community.

Trusted by

I believe craft matters and I do work hard to specialize in my skills. But skills alone can turn you into a technician. What shapes a creative voice is experience: the things you live, the way you feel them, and the meaning you carry back into your work.

That’s why time away from the screen isn’t “downtime” for me, it’s part of the job. I try things that have nothing to do with my projects: I dance salsa, play vinyl, get my hands dirty with gardening, and immerse myself in new worlds and perspectives. Those moments build unexpected links in my mind, and those links become ideas; ideas I can apply to whatever I’m developing, whether it’s motion, interactive work, or something playable.
